DOPPlER TEST:
A Doppler ultrasound test uses reflected sound waves to evaluate blood flow through blood vessel. I helps evaluate blood flow through the major arteries and veins of the arms and legs. It can show reduced blood flow in the major arteries. It also can reveal blood clots in leg veins. Deep vein thrombosis or DVT.
Doppler test is must for all newly detected diabetic patients. It is also recommended annually for all diabetic patients or as per the doctor’s order.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
If you are having severe pain, crushing, squeezing ,or pressure in your chest that lasts more that a few minutes, or if the pain moves into your neck, left shoulder, arm or jaw go immediately to a hospital, do not drive yourself, ask for assistance.
CHEST X-RAY:
By doing chest x-ray we look for abnormalities in the heart.
Any infections/fluid collection in lungs.
ABDOMEN X-RAY:
To find if any Radio – Opaque calculi in pancreas, gall bladder and kidneys.
FOOT X-RAY:
To find fractures or infections in the foot.
SPINE X-RAY:
To find spondylosis is present.
PNS X-RAY:
To rule out sinusitis
An ECG (Electrocardiogram) is a test that measures the electrical activity of the heart. The heart is a muscular organ that beats in rhythm to pump blood through the body.
n an ECG test, the electrical impulses made while the heart is beating are recorded and usually shown on a piece of paper.
This is known as an electrocardiogram, and can show with the heart’s rhythm or conductions well as any underlying heart disease.
ECG is frequently used to diagnose heart attack, thus ECG is an important test for all diabetic patients.
REMEMBER HOWEVER, THAT IF YOU HAVE DIABETES, YOU MAY NOT FEEL ANY CHEST PAIN
